Wrap it Up Like Santa

Well…Christmas is only 10 days away! Although this year is a bit different and low key due to the broken wrist…normally I leave wrapping until the last minute! How many other Christmas Eve wrappers do I have out there?

Wrap your Holiday Presents to Look Like Santa!

I typically like to choose one wrapping paper for each person. I like everything under the tree to color coordinate.  Last year I stumbled upon an adorable picture on Pinterest.  There were no directions but I knew I could recreate this idea on my own!

 DIY Santa Wrap

I went shopping and bought:

  • heavy weight, gold, glitter scrapbook paper (arts and crafts store)
  • black rolled paper (arts and craft store)
  •  red wrapping paper (Dollar Tree!)
  • Santa Hat gift tags (Target)

I used a pencil on the back of the gold glitter paper to make a belt shape.  I cut them out free hand.  If I owned a Silhouette, I bet it could have done that part for me! (some day!) Then I used that one as a stencil for the rest of the belt buckles.

Created in Three Easy Steps!

  1. Wrapped the present in red.
  2. Cut a strip of back paper and taped it around back.
  3. Glued on the gold belt buckle.

You can add any type of gift tag you want! The Santa hats gift tags I found at Target worked perfectly for me.  (If you can’t find them…I bet you could make some very easily!)

I love it! We do one color gift wrap for each family member so you don't have to do names on them. Your tree looks super neat!!!
